This increase in internal pressure deforms the capacitor cover, causing it to bulge outward.

The assembly, which includes the rivet that connects the terminals, insulated bowl, sealing ring, and capacitor cover, moves upward with the capacitor cover. The copper foil is attached to the explosion-proof block, which is fixed inside the capacitor. As the capacitor cover moves upward, the copper foil cannot move and is pulled off, disconnecting the core of the capacitor from the outside power supply and terminating the breakdown of the core, effectively activating the protection mechanism.
